Bahraini FM slams Rouhani’s insult to Arab League

Wed, Nov. 22, 2017
CAIRO – 22 November 2017: Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled bin Ahmed said Tuesday that Iran is targeting the Arab countries to bring them down, and subsequently control them.

Replying to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's insult to the Arab League, bin Ahmed wrote on Twitter: “The one who claims that the Arab league is 'useless' is the one whom the League confronted.”

Rouhani denounced, on Tuesday, Sunday’s meeting of the Arab League, describing the league as “obsolete and ineffective,” Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported.

On the sidelines of an emergency meeting of the League in Cairo, the Arab foreign ministers issued a statement condemning the Iranian regime supplying missiles to Houthi rebels in Yemen, according to Sky News.

They called on Tehran to halt its support for Hezbollah in Lebanon, relent provoking unrest in Bahrain, adhere to the Good Neighbor policy, and to stop interfering in the internal affairs of the region.
