CAIRO - 21 November 2017: Resigned Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri arrived in Cairo Tuesday evening to meet President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, sources at Cairo International Airport said.

Hariri has been in Paris since Saturday, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, and has said he will return to Lebanon by Wednesday.

His surprise resignation in an announcement from Riyadh has sparked a political crisis in Lebanon as part of a regional power struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
