CAIRO –17 November 2017: Cheap songs predominantly gain easy access to faster but temporary fame; because sex sells. Little too-known Shima went under fire for her getting overtly racy in a recent-released music video, which contained explicit sexual innuendos.

Shima, 21, who came up with a sexually-charged video clip of a song called A’ndy Zrouf, ( having issues) has been officially excluded from Egypt’s Association of Musicians, headed by Hani Shaker. The singer was announced to be a non-permanent member, according to Shaker.

According to a source inside the association, the singer will likely face the same fate of Salma el-Fouly, the singer of the infamous, coming-of-the –same-ilk video entitled “Seib Edy” or (take your hands off my hand), which was released 2 years ago. Fouly was sentenced to a 1 year in prison for disrupting public morality and inciting debauchery.

After becoming a social media sensation following its release two days ago, the talks over floated into the public sphere.

Many members of the parliament called on the arrest of Shima and ban her from singing. That is a porn short movie, not an ordinary song, said Galal Emara, MP Deputy of the Parliament’s Culture and Media committee.
