CAIRO - 16 November 2017: Minister of Social Solidarity said Thursday that Egypt agreed with Kuwait on a plan of action to boost cooperation between the two countries in the fields of handicraft and productive families.

The minister explained in a statement that the Arab social solidarity ministers meeting, which was held on Tuesday witnessed the agreement on the plan of action for 2018/2019 and setting the agenda for the upcoming Arab summit, which will be held in Saudi capital Riyadh, as well as the agenda for the next development summit in 2019.

She pointed out that the presidency of the summit was moved from Tunisia to Kuwait, adding that the meeting also witnessed the voting on the new head of the executive office, which Egypt won for the third successive session, according to the statement.

The minister met with her Kuwaiti counterpart to discuss cooperation between both countries in the field of social solidarity.

They underlined that there is a cooperation protocol signed between the two countries in the fields of caring for the handicapped and the elderly people, as well as civil society organisations.
