CAIRO - 16 November 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting Thursday with Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér to discuss ties and means to boost cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Omar Marawan and the Ambassador of Hungary to Egypt.

The premier said Cairo eyes closer ties and economic cooperation with Hungary in addition to communication on regional and international files.

Sherif applauded Hungary’s supportive stances taken in the European Union to back Egypt’s efforts while overcoming regional challenges.

He called for more cooperation in economic and scientific domains to meet the aspirations of the people in Egypt and Hungary.

The two sides have a chance to strengthen relations and communication between Egypt and Visegrad Group which includes Czech Republic, Poland, and its current head, Hungary.

In the same context, the Prime Minister highlighted cooperation plans that cover scholarship programs that give up to 100 scholarships per year for Egyptian students.

Also, Egypt eyes closer coordination of efforts to eradicate terrorism that poses danger on many countries around the world, Ismail added.
