CAIRO – 16 November 2017: Students from different Egyptian universities, Egyptian Military Academy and Police Academy have undergone training, Wednesday and Thursday, on the ways to attack hotbeds of terrorism and liberate hostages.

Egypt's Assistant Minister for Interior and head of Police Academy Ahmed El-Amry and head of military academy Mohamed Abdel Ghani el-Gamasy attended the annual common trainings between students of Egyptian Military Academy and Police Academy. The students have been taught the ways to attack terrorist hotbeds, collect information, carry out concealed operations and prepared for survival under prolonged dire conditions.

El-Amry said that meetings between students from different Egyptian universities, Egyptian Military Academy and Police Academy will be held continuously as security is a common responsibility and security service alone cannot carry out its duties without the people’s solidarity.

He stressed that the common trainings aim to strengthen the cooperation between the armed forces and police, raise the capability of students and help them acquire different skills and expertise in fighting terrorism.

“Traditional wars have ended; the war now is targeting youth who should protect the nation,” noted El-Amry. He added that symposia about the role of Egypt in fighting terrorism will be held on the sidelines of the training.

On this regard, Gamasy praised the national role taken by the armed forces and police to face the security challenges and sacrifice themselves for protection of the country.
