CAIRO – 16 November 2017: The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) arrested two consultant architects from Hamza Associates over bribery case.

As part of the state's campaign to eradicate corruption and protecting the public funds, the ACA arrested the two architects along with head of audit department at El Nasr Mining Company, a public business sector company, over suspicions of receiving one million pounds as a bribe.

The bribe is believed to be introduced by an owner of a contracting company, assigned to do some development works at the Port of Hamrawein, to the suspects in return of issuing a report of the validity of his works at the port.

Hamza Associates has been assigned to supervise the development works at the Port of Hamrawein.

A search warrant has been issued to El Nasr Mining Company and Hamza Associates headquarters, where some documents on the case were found.
