French FM heads for Saudi Arabia on two-day visit

PARIS - 15 November 2017: Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will head later today for Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit during which he will meet with Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.

He will also meet with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubair, said the spokeswoman for the French Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

Meetings in Saudi Arabia will also take up means of enhancing joint cooperation in several domains, especially the economic, political and cultural areas, she added.

The talks will also deal with means of fighting terrorism in light of the conference on combating funding terrorism that will be organized by France in 2018, she added.

Figuring high on the agenda of talks in Saudi Arabia also will be regional crises in Syria and Yemen along with the file of Lebanon.
