GENEVA - 14 November 2017: Director of World Trade Organisation (WTO) Roberto Azevedo received Egypt's Permanent Representative in Geneva Alaa Youssef who presented his credentials to WTO.

Azevedo welcomed Youssef during the meeting between both men which took place on Monday evening.

Youssef assumed office as Egypt's new permanent representative to the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva earlier in November.

The director of WTO expressed his wish for Youssef's success in his new duties, hoping for continued constructive cooperation between both sides, especially in the light of the preparation for the ministerial 11th meeting of WTO.

Meanwhile, Youssef expressed his determination to boost cooperation between Egypt and WTO, pointing out to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's meeting with general director of WTO to Egypt in September 2014.
