CAIRO – 13 November 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with his Zambian counterpart Edgar Lungu on Tuesday at Cairo-based Presidential Palace of Ittihadyia, according to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency on Monday.

Both leaders will discuss bilateral relations and mutual concerns, in addition to regional and African Affairs. Their meeting will be followed by a press conference, the statement added.

On the sidelines of the 2015 African Union Summit in Addis Abab, Sisi and Lungu discussed the strong relations within the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). At that meeting, Sisi had invited Lungu to visit Egypt.

The trade volume between two countries reached $121.7 million in 2009, according to Egypt’s State Information Service in 2016.
