CAIRO – 11 November 2017: There are about 690 French terrorists fighting in Iraq and Syria, including 295 women and 28 minors, officials said, France 24 televisions reported.

French prosecutor François Molins warned of dealing with “naivety” in this regard, because of the great danger to citizens’ lives and security and the public’s safety.

Molins told France Info channel, "Their return is very dangerous to our stability. They have been trained to use weapons and they will spread the terrorist and extremist ideology, especially by women and minors.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has raised concerns about families calling for the return of women and children from Syria and Iraq so as not to become "ticking bombs."

In October, European media reported that intensive efforts were being made to communicate an exact number of foreign fighters joining a sympathetic organization, to know their route and whether they intended to return to their countries of origin.

On November 10, a group of students ran into a car near the city of Toulouse in southwestern France and injured three students, France media reported.

French police said the incident was deliberate, but the driver, aged 28, and was not on the security watch list.

European media reported last October that they are exerting their efforts to find out how many foreign fighters are involved in the Islamic State terrorist group and whether they wanted to return to their country of origin.
