Takfiri cell with links to terrorist group arrested in Tunisia

TUNIS - 11 November 2017: Tunisian security forces arrested on Friday an eight-member takfiri cell in Kasserine Governorate suspected to be affiliated to a terrorist organization.

In a press release, the Tunisian Interior Ministry said that investigations revealed that the suspects held an illegal meeting inside a mosque and when the Imam called for prayers, they left the mosque claiming that it is not permissible to pray behind an Imam appointed by the government.

All legal measures were taken concerning the incident.
