CAIRO - 9 November 2017: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry met Thursday with his French counterpart Jean Yves Le Drian in Sharm El Sheikh to discuss ways of boosting relations between both countries.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Abu Zeid said the two sides also held talks on the coordination and consultation between the two countries over a number of regional issues of common interest for both sides.

Abu Zeid explained that both ministers shed light on the recent successful visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Paris in October, which reflected the deep-rooted and distinguished relations between Egypt and France, underling the evolution of cooperation and consultation between Cairo and Paris over issues of common interest for the two sides.

In addition, Abu Zeid pointed out that the two diplomats discussed the cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
