SHARM EL SHEIKH - 8 November 2017: Participants in the session of (The Future of Global Climate Change) held as part of the activities of the World Youth Forum (WYF) recommended producing new crops that can resist drought as well as salinity and need less irrigation water.

During the session held within the framework of the WYF organized on Wednesday, Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy said that science and technology can provide solutions to environmental problems, adding that the displacement operations that have been taking place around the world are not only due to climate change but also unstable political conditions.

The Paris climate agreement was an attempt to reach a reconciliation between the developing and developed countries, the minister underlined, noting that the agreement has not been implemented yet.

The thermal emissions are caused by the industrial revolution of the great countries, he noted.

The minister further underscored that the officials who outlined the sustainable development strategy have put into consideration the climate change issue, adding that mega national projects such as the New Administrative Capital, 1.5-million feddans and the New Suez Canal will have a great role in reducing thermal emissions.
