SHARJAh - 7 November 2017: Director-General of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority (FCMA) Hamdan Karam al Kaabi said that Egypt began to regain its place in the arts, cultural and political fields, under the leadership of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Kaabi said that a cooperation memo was signed between the FCMA and the national media authority during his visit to Bibliotheca Alexandrina in early October.

The agreement includes boosting cooperation between the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) and Fujairah TV in exchanging expertise, producing joint programs and covering conferences and festivals in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, Kaabi said.

As for preparations for the new round of Fujairah International Arts Festival (FIAF), set for February 2018, Kaabi said that a higher committee was formed to draw up guidelines in terms of attracting many of the bands from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Oman and some European countries.
