CAIRO - 5 November 2017: President of Free Egyptians Party (FEP) Essam Khalil said Sunday that the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El Sheikh under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi reflects Egypt's leading role in the Middle East region.

Khalil underlined in a statement that the forum is considered to be the first of its kind in Egypt, which clearly underscores the country's openness to the world and the exchange of expertise.

He pointed out that the forum also reflects Sisi' and the state institutions' interest in empowering young people and enhancing their role in society, stressing that Egypt prepares leaders from the young bracket to take responsibility and play an essential and leading role, which falls among the president's top proprities.

In addition, he explained that welcoming young people from foreign countries in Egypt sends a message of security and safety to tourists and investors.

The president of FEP also underscored that Egypt seeks to respond to the attempts of extremists to distort the country's image before the world by hosting the forum.

He highlighted that the forum will discuss sustainable development and major national projects under the auspices of Sisi.
