BAGHDAD - 4 November 2017: An Iraqi commander of the Iraqi army seventh division was killed and four soldiers were wounded in an explosion that took place in Western al Anbar governorate, a military source in al Anbar said on Saturday.

A bomb blast, that was left by Daesh terrorist group, went off in a military vehicle carrying the senior military commander and a number of his security staff on the highway between al Qa'im city and the phosphate plant at the south of the town, Al Sumariya channel quoted the source as saying.

A security source in Basrah governorate said that emergency forces arrested a terrorist in the outskirts of al Samraa city and handed him over to the operational command of al Samraa for investigations.

Mines that were left by Daesh in liberated areas of al Anbar repeatedly explode in security forces and civilians, resulting in casualties.
