BENGHAZI - 29 October 2017: Commander of the Libyan National Army Khalifa Haftar on Saturday ordered an investigation into the case of 36 unidentified bodies found near Benghazi.

The probe will seek to identify the victims and find out whether they had been held in authorized prisons. It would also aim to identify, arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the crime, Haftar said in a statement carried by Russia Today.

The bodies were found on Thursday night in Al-Abyar, about 70 km east of Benghazi.
