Tunisian lawyer Mabrouk Kourchid says he was 'manhandled' by a police officer - AFP By Fethi Belaid

TUNIS - 26 October 2017: Tunisian Minister of State Property and Land Affairs Mabrouk Kourchid called Thursday for a better co-ordination between Tunisia and China for the implementation of the economic center of the port of Zarzis in the governorate of Medenine in Southern Tunisia. 

Kourchid made the remarks at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador in Tunis Bian Yanhua, Tun

Kourchid announced that Tunisia will, soon, host a “major conference" that will be attended by officials and representatives of Chinese companies, said a statement from the Department of Public Property and Land Affairs.

During the meeting with the Chinese diplomat, the minister affirmed the government’s commitment to finalize the Zarzis economic center project, saying the extension of the port will be a locomotive for development in the Governorate of Medenine.
