CAIRO, 24 October 2017: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian on Tuesday signed 11 cooperation agreements, the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

On the occasion of the official visit paid to France by Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El Sisi, several agreements between France and Egypt were signed, the statement said.

These agreements are aimed to support the economic and social reforms carried out by the Egyptian government, along with developing the renewable energy sector and boosting training cooperation for the Egyptian youth, it added.

The agreements cover several fields, inducing the establishment and development of the French Egyptian University, and the training of senior officials of the Egyptian administrative body.

Other loan agreements were signed by the Egyptian government and the French Development Agency (AFD) for development projects in various sectors.
