CAIRO – 24 October 2017: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met Tuesday with French Prime Minister Edward Philip, as they discussed the mutual relations between both countries.

During the meeting, Sisi and Philip discussed Egypt’s recent economic reform measures taken by the government, along with the efforts made by Egypt aiming to attract more French investments. They are aiming for more investment in the energy and social protection sectors.

During the coming hours, Sisi is scheduled to meet with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

On Monday morning, President Sisi arrived in Paris for a three-day visit, and he met with several French officials, along with his counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

The two leaders held a press conference on Tuesday after their meeting. They announced that they were signing deals worth €400 million ($470.5 million) in different economic and cultural sectors.
