ALEXANDRIA, Egypt - 19 October 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Egypt has been doing its utmost to counter corruption and that it is a powerful country run by an institutional ideology.

The Egyptian government is keen to finalize studies of projects before carrying them out in order to guarantee accurate implementation of sustainable projects.

The remarks were made during the meeting Ismail held on Thursday night with a number of MPs and executive officials from Alexandria in the governorate's headquarters.

The meeting was held within the framework of Ismail's inspection tour of Alexandria and was attended also by ministers of local development, housing, youth and sports, higher education and transportation.

During the meeting, Ismail decided to increase allocations for the paving operations in Alexandria as well as for maintenance of schools nationwide.

He listened to comments and problems related to the situation in Alexandria.

As well, he was briefed on the measures carried out by the executive bodies in Alexandria to finalize the implementation of current projects and deliver the various services for citizens in the governorate.
