BAGHDAD - 18 October 2017: An Iraqi government source revealed an agreement was reached Wednesday to reopen the Fishkhabur border crossing which links the city of Mosul with other parts of Iraq.

The source told an Iraq media outlet that the opening of the point was part of an agreement between Iraq and Turkey, pointing out that the Turkish side intends to close all outlets of Kurdistan region but will not close Khalil Ibrahim crossing because of the high level of trade exchange with Kurdistan region which amounts to 7.5 billion dollars annually.
