ABU DHABI- 18 October 2017: The United Arab Emirates condemned on Wednesday a terrorist attack on a police training center in Gardez, the capital of Paktia province in the east of Afghanistan, WAM news agency reported.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a statement, the UAE Foreign Ministry reiterated the UAE's firm stand rejecting all forms of terrorism, stressing the necessity of coordinating among world countries and mobilizing efforts to eradicate terrorism that threatens international peace and security.

Earlier, Afghan Deputy Interior Minister Morad Ali Morad said that 41 people were killed and 158 others were wounded in Gardiz bombing.
