Six military personnel killed in terror attack in Arish -- military spox

CAIRO - 13 October 2017: Six Armed Forces personnel were killed when a number of terrorists targeted a security checkpoint in Arish using grenades and fire arms, Military Spokesman Tamer el Refaie said on Friday.

In a statement, the spokesman noted that military forces clashed and exchanged fire with the terrorist elements immediately, leaving a number of terrorists dead and wounded.

Terrorists ran away after killing the six service men, the spokesman pointed out.

A manhunt operation is underway, he added.
