CAIRO – 11 October 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi assured that the 20,000 housing units implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development will be completed by mid-next year or by its end, at the latest.

No housing units have been put up for sale so far.

Sisi commented on the speech of Major General Ahmed Zaki Abdeen by stating that development plans at the New Administrative Capital are slated to take between 20-25 years.

He added that all the challenges are being faced head on; mentioning that infrastructure and facilities will be provided in the city of Nasir in the Assiut governorate.

The president told Major General Kamel El-Wazir, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, to overcome all the obstacles facing any ongoing project; saying that over the past three years, 125,000 land plots have been offered and are now fully booked,in addition to another 35,000.
