CAIRO – 10 October 2017: Youth movements in Gaza organized a demonstration on Tuesday in Saraya Square calling on Fatah and Hamas to maintaintheir efforts of reconciliation.

Dozens of youth participated in the vigil, holding slogans entitled: "This time see it through!Solve it and finishit!Reconciliation is a popular demand."

A number of vigil officials stressed the need for the delegations gathered in Cairo to reach an agreement on all outstanding issues, in order to resolve the humanitarian crises accumulatingin the Gaza Strip.

The participants considered the ongoing meetings in Cairo as the last chance to end the curse andattend to national issues.Those national issues compriseconfrontingIsraeli plans of occupying and Judaizing Jerusalem, and their continuoussettlements in the Palestinian territories.

The youth in Gaza announced the launch of the so-called "October movement to end the division and support the Palestinian reconciliation efforts," stressing that their movement does not belong to any faction or Palestinian organization, but is expressingthe concerns of allPalestinians in the streetsofGaza in general.

For his part, Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah reviewed on Tuesday results of the government's visit to the Gaza Strip during the weekly meeting held in Ramallah.

Hamdallah said that the government is studying and following with interest all the issues raised by the representatives of the factions and national forces.

He stated that the government exerted efforts to find solutions forthese issues, and that it iscommitted to the instructions of the president to harness all possibilities ofmeeting the needs of thepeople in the Gaza Strip.
