TUNIS - 3 October 2017: The Egyptian-Tunisian consultation and follow-up commission has convened in Tunis in preparation for the 16th session of the Egyptian-Tunisian High Joint Commission, Tunisia's TAP news agency reported.

This new session, due to be held in November in Cairo, will be co-chaired by Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and his Egyptian counterpart Sherif Ismail.

The meeting helped assess the bilateral co-operation since the 15th meeting of the Egyptian-Tunisian High Joint Commission which was held on September 2015 in Tunis, read a Tuesday statement from the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

The meeting further provided an opportunity to exchange points of view on several regional and international issues.
