CAIRO – 30 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met on Saturday the chairman of the board of directors of the New Administrative Capital, Eng. Ahmed Abdeen, to discuss the progress of work in the New Administrative Capital.

During the meeting, Sisi discussed the advanced stage of the implementation and confirmed that the marketing plan for the housing area in the New Administrative Capital will be launched soon with a view to offer the first residential units, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.

Youssef added that the general design of the central area of the New Administrative Capital and its development strategy were reviewed during the meeting, in addition to new capital's central business district.

A national university, comprising of a number of applied science faculties, an opera house, a library and a museum, will be established in New El Alamein City.

During the meeting, President Sisi urged to continue the implementation plan of the business district in the new capital and to stick to the set timeline, in addition to following up on the stages of progress of the rest of the new cities, read Youssef.

President Sisi stressed that such projects should provide high-quality services for citizens that go in line with international standards.
