CAIRO – 22 September 2017: The Iraq government invited Egypt to participate in a high joint summit between both countries due to be held in October to boost bilateral cooperation, stated Haidar Nouri, Commercial Attaché of the Iraqi Embassy in Cairo, on Friday.

Nouri added that Iraq Government waits for Egypt’s response to set a fixed date for the summit, which will convene, for the first time, at the level of the prime ministers of the two countries.

“The summit will be attended by the Egyptian and Iraqi prime ministers Sherif Ismail and Haidar Al-Abbadi respectively, Nouri continued, noting Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr will represent the Egyptian delegation, while the Iraqi Minister of Trade will represent the Iraqi side.

Nouri disclosed that high joint summit meetings were held at the level of the trade ministers of both countries.
