LONDON - 22 September 2017: The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Friday that an agreement ending Daesh terrorist group presence in Hama governorate has been reached between the Syrian national army and Daesh on Friday.

According to the agreement, hundreds of Daesh elements and families are expected to leave the rest of Daesh-held areas in the eastern outskirts of Hama governorate, Sky News channel reported.

Several camps in eastern Salamiyah city will be established for the residents of Hamah governorate until the end of purging operations that will take place in the area, the observatory pointed out.

An evacuation process from the eastern outskirts of Hammah governorate will be started within the coming hours, the observatory noted.

The agreement has been reached after fierce clashes that took place for 18 days between the Syrian army and Daesh militants.
