KHARTOUM- 18 Sep 2017:The 15th meeting of the advisory council of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) kicked off on Monday in Khartoum.

The meeting comes within the framework of celebrating Sennar as a Capital of Islamic Culture for 2017.

The inaugurating session was attended by Sudanese State Minister of Culture Hassab Al Rasool Badr, ISESCO representatives, member states’ delegates and a number of Sudanese officials and diplomats.

The two-day meeting is planned to discuss a number of issues namely a report concerning the implementation of the cultural strategy in the Islamic countries, amendments on the cultural strategy project in the Islamic countries. The meeting will also tackle the guidelines concerning culture and city project, amendments on the rules of procedure of the advisory council assigned to implement the cultural strategy in Islamic countries, rules of procedure of the Islamic conference at the culture ministers level and the agenda of the 10th Islamic conference at the level of culture ministers due to be held in November.
