CAIRO – 12 September 2017: “Israel continues its unilateral actions to change the current demographics in Jerusalem. The protection of Jerusalem is not a reaction to a temporary crisis, but faith in a cause that cannot be ceased,” the Jordanian Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman El Safdy said on Tuesday.

This came in the speech the Jordanian minister delivered during the 148th ministerial-level session of the Arab League Council held in Cairo.

El Safdy highlighted that his state is deploying efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict among different Palestinian currents.

On a different note, the minister stressed the importance of abolishing injustice and misery in parallel to ideological confrontation in order to combat terrorism, expressing his state’s solidarity with Iraq to reinstate security and equality.

“Defeating terrorism is a priority imposed by the obligation of protecting our peoples,” El Safdy stated.
