CAIRO - 10 Sep 2017: Permanent delegates of the Arab League Council convened a meeting on Sunday at the Arab League premises to prepare for the 148th Ordinary Session of the Arab Foreign Ministers Council, due to convene on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Djibouti Permanent Delegate to the League Ambassador Mohammad Zohr Harethi.

The agenda of 148th Ordinary Session of the Arab League Foreign Ministers Council include 28 items topped by a report on the Arab League's general secretariat's activities, measures taken to implement the council's resolutions in its previous session as well as reports on the follow-up bodies concerned with implementing Amman Arab Summit.

The session will also discuss the Palestinian issue, the latest developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen, the Iranian occupation of three Emirati islands as well as the Qatari crisis.

The agenda also includes extending support to Yazidi females who have been kidnapped and rapped by Daesh terrorist group, the dangers of Israeli armament on the region's security as well as terrorism combat and its impact on the Arab national security.
