Luxor governor, WFP head discuss food security projects

LUXOR, Upper Egypt - 19 August 2017: Luxor Governor Mohammed Badr on Saturday discussed with World Food program (WFP) Egypt Country Director Menghestab Haile means of developing WFP projects in Luxor.

The talks took up food security projects and ways of boosting cooperation in the climate change domain.

Haile reviewed the project of establishing a flexible food security system in Upper Egypt in light of climate change phenomenon, noting that the project was implemented in several villages in Luxor.

They discussed the possibility of expanding the project to other villages and towns.

They also tackled a number of files, topped by diversifying agricultural crops in Luxor.
