23 defendants sentenced to 5 years in prison

ISMAILIA - Egypt - 13 August 2017: Ismailia's Criminal Court on Sunday sentenced nine defendants to three years in prison, six others to one year and eight others to six months over setting fire to a police station in Ismailiya city in an attempt to escape.

In 2016, the 23 defendants were accused of deliberately burning down a police station cell, sabotaging a state-owned property, and possessing an unlicensed weapon.
