ALEXANDRIA - 11 August 2017: Health Ministry Undersecretary in Alexandria Magdy Hegazi said the death toll from a collision of two trains in the city on Friday rose to 40 while 133 others were wounded, including 13 in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din checked on the conditions of the injured people during his visit to the hospitals of Gamal Abdel Nassr and Al-Jumhuriya. He helped in surgeries for some critical cases

In statements to MENA, Chairman of the Egyptian Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) Hossam El-Gamal, said the center, along with a number of ministries, is following up the latest developments concerning the collision.

Earlier, an Alexandria-bound train coming from Cairo crashed into another one while being on its way from Port Said to Alexandria.
