ADEN - 10 August 2017: The Yemeni army foiled an attempt by militias of Houthis and supporters of ousted president Ali Abdallah Saleh to attack Khalid Bin Al Walid military camp, east of the Yemeni city of Mocha, a Yemeni military source said on Thursday.

The source said the militias launched the most violent attack in a bid to retake the camp, but they were encumbered with heavy losses, according to Al Arabiya news channel.

The source noted that confrontations broke out in western and eastern Taiz, noting that the army is advancing.

The source stressed that military operations to liberate all western parts of Taiz would go on.
