ALEXANDRIA, Egypt– 7 August 2017: The 38 Jordanians who were arrested in Alexandria city on Sunday following incidents that took place in the wake of the 2017 Arab Club Championship final match between Jordan's Al Faisaly and Esperance Sportive de Tunis have been released, Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt Ali Al Ayed said.

In statements on Monday, Ayed expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian government and bodies concerned for settling this issue.

Al Faisaly soccer team won the second place in the Arab Club Championship (ACC) that was held in Egypt's Alexandria city.

Esperance Sportive de Tunis edged Al Faisaly 3-2 in the ACC final at the Alexandria Stadium on Sunday
