CAIRO - 4 Aug 2017: The Pyramids of Giza were lightened in green Thursday in a show of solidarity with the hepatitis C patients.

The move was made by the Ministry of Antiquities in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank Group.

The pyramids plateau appeared green till 11:30 p.m. Cairo local time.

A similar event takes place in April every year when the Pyramids are lightened in blue to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day, head of the ancient area of Pyramids Ashraf Mohey said in statements.
