ADEN - 28 July 2017: Arab coalition fighter jets launched Friday intensive air strikes on Houthi militants' sites in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, local Yemeni sources told Sky News.

The sources said, the air strikes targeted Al Dilmi air base in northern Sanaa and the national security headquarters in Sarf district in eastern the Yemeni capital.

The air raids also hit the headquarters of the 1st armored division and security guard school, as well as the headquarters of missile brigades in Fag Attan district, the sources added.

The air strikes come in retaliation for the firing of a ballistic missile by Houthis at the Saudi city of Mecca, which was shot down by Saudi air defenses on Thursday evening.
