KABUL - 27 July 2017: Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said on Thursday that evidence was available regarding the existence of sanctuaries for the terrorist groups in Afghanistan, as Khaama press reported.

During his speech at the International Institute of Strategic Studies, he added that the terrorists escaped to Afghanistan after launching a Pakistani military operation against their sanctuaries there.

Regarding peace and stability in the region, the Pakistani ambassador asserted that negotiations are the only way to achieve peace.

The U.S. Department of State released its latest reports regarding terrorism for 2016 last week, providing an overall report regarding terrorism related upheavals during the year.

The report added that terrorist groups like Afghan Taliban and other groups planned for coordinated attacks in the Afghan land stating that a number of these attacks were planned and launched from secure sanctuaries in Pakistan.
