CAIRO - 27 July 2017: The urgent meeting of the Arab League (AL) council at the level of the Arab foreign ministers kicked off under Algerian Foreign Minister for African and Maghreb Affairs Abdul-Qader Messahel.

The meeting is attended by the AL Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit, the Arab foreign ministers as well as their representatives.

Egypt's delegation to the meeting is led by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

The meeting is held at the request of Jordan to probe the Israeli violations committed recently in Al Quds (occupied east Jerusalem) and Al Aqsa Mosque.

The get-together is held within the framework of the Arab efforts exerted to overcome the unprecedented Israeli measures taken in Al Quds and Al Aqsa Mosque as well as the violations committed against the Palestinians and the Islamic and Christian sanctuaries.
