UAE CP hails Egypt's army role in challenges threatening region

ABU DHABI - 23 July 2017: Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hailed the important and effective role played by the Egyptian Armed Forces in addressing the challenges at home and for Arab security in general, WAM reported on Saturday.

Sheikh Mohamed and Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Saturday the opening of the Mohamed Naguib Military Base, located in Al-Hamam area, Marsa Matrouh Governorate, and the graduation of a number of batches of military colleges and institutes.

He congratulated the government and the people of Egypt on the occasion of the 23rd July, 1952 Revolution anniversary and wished more development and prosperity to them.

He also conveyed the greetings of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and wished permanent prosperity, security and safety to the Egyptians.

He also stressed the strong relations and cooperation between the UAE and Egypt in all fields, especially in the military and defense domains, which would contribute to promoting the performance and potential of the armed forces in the two countries.
