CAIRO – 18 July 2017: Extremist groups have been tarnishing the image of the Islamic religion on purpose, the Minister of Endowment Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa stated in a meeting with female preachers on Tuesday, accusing “Zionist intelligence agencies” of creating the Islamic State to hide the Israeli violations of Palestinian’s rights.

The Minister added that there is no Abrahamic religion that was spread through violence or terror, and that accusing a religion of such a false claim to exonerate another is considered an attempt to doubt the source of all three religions.

Gomaa stressed on the importance of achieving reforms in the religious discourse, which would be achieved by preparing well equipped preachers.

The Minister announced that training sessions will be held for female preachers in El Nour Mosque in Abbaseya, and that they would have to take classification tests to identify those who need to widen their knowledge.
