CAIRO – 18 JULY 2017: France condemned on Tuesday the attack on Red Sea’s resort of Hurghada, where two German tourists were killed and 4 others from different nationalities were injured on Friday, according to statement from France’s Foreign Ministry.

Paris also extended condolences to the bereaved and wishing a quick recovery to the injured, the statement added.

“France commends the swift response by the Egyptian police forces, which made it possible to arrest the perpetrator of the attack,” the statement read. France also announced its support to Egypt and Germany in combating terrorism.

On Friday, Egypt’s security forces arrested a man with a knife stabbed two German female tourists to death afterwards he swam from a neighboring beach and infiltrated the beach, where the female tourists were staying at.

The Injured tourists include two from Armenia, one from Russia, and another from Czech.
