CAIRO – 17 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with Kuwait’s foreign minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah at Heliopolis presidential palace on Monday.

Egypt’s minister of foreign affairs Sameh Shoukry will attend the meeting in which Sisi will receive a letter from Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah about boosting the bilateral relations between the two countries and the mediation developments led by Kuwait between the Arab quartet and Qatar.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E. and Bahrain are combating terrorism and extremist groups in the region. On June 5, they cut ties with Qatar on charges of supporting and funding terrorist groups and harboring extremists.

Qatar received a list of 13 demands from the four Arab countries through the Kuwaiti mediator, but it declined the demands to dry up terrorism sources of funding.
