CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Egypt has made great progress with regard to reducing maternal mortality rate due to the new health system as well as the digital mapping, Minister of Health Ahmed Emad el Din said.

The maternal mortality rate has reached less than one percent, Emad el Din added at a press conference Wednesday at the Ministry of Investment's headquarters

Meanwhile, he noted that the Ministry of Health has successfully mechanized 4,500 health offices nationwide in order to save time and effort.

The mechanization system will benefit all ministries, institutions and citizens, he added.
