CAIRO 5 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah El Sisi discussed with leaders of the Visegrád Group Egypt’s role in the Middle East, cooperation in fighting terrorism and illegal immigration and developing the trade and economic relations, while the bloc stressed its support for Egypt to achieve security and stability.

Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said that the Visegrád summit, in which President Sisi took part, took up several topics including the Egyptian role in the Middle East and cooperation in fighting terrorism along with illegal migration and energy security.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban opened the summit with a speech in which he voiced appreciation and respect for Egypt and its president.

For his part, President Sisi asserted in his speech the importance of the summit in boosting cooperation with the Visegrád Group countries in various fields.
