CAIRO – 5 May 2024: As Egyptians gear up for the upcoming Sham El-Nessim holiday on Monday, they can look forward to enjoying the outdoors in pleasant weather. The forecast brings good news.

Most parts of the country, including Cairo, can expect delightful weather with clear skies on Monday. However, there might be a chance of rain in certain areas in the north, although overall, the weather will remain pleasant.

According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in various areas along the northern coast and the northern Nile Delta on Monday.

The eastern parts of the coast may continue to experience rain on Tuesday.

In Cairo, temperatures will reach a high of 28 degrees Celsius and a low of 16 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Meanwhile, the northern coast will see highs of 23 degrees Celsius and lows of 16 degrees Celsius.

If you're planning a visit to Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab in South Sinai, expect slightly warmer temperatures with highs of 30 degrees Celsius and lows of 21 degrees Celsius.

Moving to other regions, Northern Upper Egypt, including Fayoum and Beni Suef, will experience highs of 29 degrees Celsius and lows of 16 degrees Celsius.

In Southern Upper Egypt, where Luxor and Aswan are located, the weather won't be as pleasant, with temperatures rising to 33 degrees Celsius for the highs and 21 degrees Celsius for the lows.

Be aware that navigation along the western coasts of the Mediterranean may be affected by winds blowing at speeds of 40-50 km/hour, causing waves to rise up to 2-2.5 meters high.

As the week progresses, temperatures across Egypt will gradually rise, surpassing 30 degrees Celsius in the shade during the daytime.

In Cairo and the Nile Delta, expect highs of 34 degrees Celsius and lows of 20 degrees Celsius on Friday. On the northern coast, temperatures will reach highs of 29 degrees Celsius and lows of 19 degrees Celsius.

South Sinai will become warmer, with highs and lows reaching 36 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively, by Friday.

Northern Upper Egypt ill heat up further by the weekend, with temperatures climbing to 36 degrees Celsius for the highs and 23 degrees Celsius for the lows.

In Southern Upper Egypt, prepare for scorching temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius for the highs and 25 degrees Celsius for the lows by the weekend.
